by | Nov 5, 2015

Drive along a few highways and you will certainly see some amazing outdoor advertising. Its history dates back to 1840 and although the structure of the billboard since then is pretty much the same, the method of its deployment has changed significantly. Not too long ago, technology caught up to static billboards and created the concept of digital billboards. In came a whole new dimension for advertising and marketing. Furthermore, you no longer have to wait for the appropriate weather or a printer to print and install the traditional billboard for you. Just design your content on an image or video file and upload it to a server and voila! The world can now see you!

A traditional billboard is static, which means that the content cannot be changed very frequently because the process is expensive and time consuming. Hence it is more likely that people will forget about the static billboard over time.

LED billboards are quite impossible to ignore. The brightness, color, movement and special effects make it very eye catching. Changes to the content can be done fast and easily especially when important facts such as the time of an advertised event changes. Furthermore, the content displayed can be scheduled according to the time of day: morning and evening rush hours, school traffic times, etc. You can also run several segmented campaigns, recent new and promotional products on your LED billboard with an unlimited amount of flexibility.

Compared to the wide audience it can reach, the cost of investing in an LED billboard is very competitive and measuring the ROI is quite straightforward. Moreover, if your city is an attractive tourist destination, LED billboards are very much favored. And to top it all, if your LED sign is the only one in the area, you are sure to have all the attention!
